Award was given by Reactions Latin America Magazine last May, 27th at a dinner at the Eden Roc in Miami Beach.

Eco Seguros SA – SISTRAN Colombia adds a new customer to its portfolio

Bogotá, Colombia, SISTRAN adds a new customer to Colombian portfolio with Eco Seguros SA put-on-production. Project required SISE 3G Enterprise Edition (EE) implementation of Underwriting module, and Claims, Reinsurance and Accounting modules covering the entire end to end process under management fields of compliance and liability.

With this new customer, Colombia Business Unit goes from 41% to 43% share of local insurance market, today has 19 of 44 insurance companies in the country using SISE. It was a very successful project that took only two months of implementation.

Customer needed a Core system, stabilized and adapted to Colombian legislation ensuring short implementation time. Model used for Company operation was Cloud Computing approach, ergo entire cloud infrastructure. This is a distinctive advantage for any company that starts operations,  because it has support from Provider according to their growth.

SISE: the second implementation for the same GMX Insurance group already operates with SISTRAN

Mexico, DF The Mexican Company GMX Insurance chose SISTRAN as System supplier. Went into production last May 1st with SISE 2G implementation with all its modules. Customization took a month of development and was made applying SISTRAN methodology.
Main Project challenge was migration because GMX had all information distributed in different sources. They worked with several independent coexisting systems, so they choose SISTRAN because of his single integrated system.
This is the second implementation for GMX group as ANA is a current SISE 1G customer since several years ago. GMX is a 100% Mexican insurance company specialized in Property and Liability, operating since 1998.

José Ríos succeeds Luis Mazzini as CEO of Sistran

With 28 years of experience in the insurance industry, José Ríos has held several strategic positions within Sistran, including the leadership of Sistran’s startups in Ecuador (1994), Central America (2000) and Puerto Rico (2005). He has been a Partner in Sistran Andean and Central American regions for 19 years. Before being named CEO, Jose served as Vice President of Operations for the Andean region.

Among his new challenges as CEO, Jose will focus on strengthening the growth of the group in the insurance and IT market in the Americas. “For more than 30 years, SISTRAN has been developing technology for the insurance industry. This made us experts in the field and forced us to be innovative. We see big growth opportunities in the market. SISTRAN once again participated in the classic convention for the insurance market, EXPOESTRATEGAS 2013, that was developed in “La Rural” on August 12th and 13th.

Like every year, attendance was massive, with great opportunities to make business contacts and participate in discussions regarding the insurance market.
